Weekly IRLF Challenge: Let's Have a Pasta Party!

Our apologies for being a bit late on this one, but to make up for lost time, we're keeping it simple.

The challenge is as straightforward as can be: make a pasta dish, any pasta dish, and share the recipe with us. It can be any variety of pasta under the sun. You can use any kind of sauce, or no sauce at all. It can be homemade or dried-and-boiled. It can be Italian, Asian or whatever. It can be a sidedish, entree or (we're hoping someone will try it) a dessert.

Make pasta. Make it how you want. And tell us all about it.

Haha awesome!
I'm going to do two I think, one for CHOW and one as an isolated IRLF post. Probably some variation of the Seafood Lasagna with Cognac Bechamel sauce; and then a simple "how to make home-made Fettuccine Alfredo" also.
One question though, what's the submission deadline for this one? I know a couple people had something for the stew, but missed it.

Also, if anyone wants to attempt a Dessert Pasta, here's something you can do:
Take flat lasagna sheets, home-rolled preferably; but if not the Barilla ones do well (look for the flat sheet-like ones, not the ones with the curly edges), half-cook them, cut them into squares, and deep fry them. You can also use the thicker type of won-ton skins.
Take these deep fried pasta sheets, and sprinkle them with confectioner's sugar, or glaze them with a sugar or honey glaze.
Prepare some Marscapone cream (the stuff in Tiramisu), with Cocoa powder; or a Chocolate Mousse or Chocolate-infused Whipped cream or Chocolate Pudding even; and layer the lasagna sheets with these two elements in between them; adding in fresh fruit (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, etc.) as you go, until you have a layered dessert lasagna. Chill again for stability, and serve when solid-ish.
Another thing you can do is to make a reduction of Disaronno or Grand Marnier and sugar, and pour it over the completed dish to add another element (hot contrast) to the otherwise cold and crispy dish.

I'm not really much of a pasta person. Possibly will attempt some kind of liang ban mein, but I'm not sure, since I already have a food project planned for this weekend.

@chow - I've actually been thinking about doing that for a while now. I just feel bad doing it this weekend because i promised the boy I'd make it for him when he was up next...
Oh well, he can deal with lasagna next week. Chicken parm it is.
