  • My Ideal Menu

It's an interesting question to ponder: What's  your ideal menu? What would you have if you could design your own multi-course layout.

I've been thinking about it, and here's what I might choose to go with...

    Starters:

    Feta cheese pies

    or

Nice soft white bread roll,   or soft french bread lightly spread

    or

    Toast

    First Course:

Chicken stuffed with cheese wrapped in ham

    or

Turkey, vegetables, cocktail sausges, stuffing,  ham and Yorkshire Pudding

    or

Cheese, Ham,  bread rolls and Chicken

    or

A nice home made burger with vegetables

    Dessert:

    Key Lime Pie

    or

Vanilla ice cream or strawberry ice cream

    or

    White chocolate mousse

    or

    New York Cheesecake

    or

    Strawberry cheesecake

    Also on the table:

    Cheese and biscuits

My favorite cheeses – edam, red Leicester, smoked cheese (the one in a sausage shape), and a few others.

What would be your ideal menu?

I want to sit at a table in someone's kitchen in the evening with two glasses of scotch.

    Someone I love.
    Who loves me in return.

And watch them cook for me.  Anything.  I don't care.

We'd talk, about life.  About how each others' days have been.  About what's on our minds.  Maybe we'd have the TV on.  Maybe we'd have some soft jazz playing in the background.  Maybe it would just be quiet, except for the sound of our voices as we ate our home-cooked meal.

Maybe I'd reach across the table and brush my hands over theirs.  And see them smile.  And I'd smile back.  I'd tell them that this was the best meal I could have, and tell them I love them, and thank them.  And mean it.

@chow - Chow. I am sure you need to go out and find someone already before you lose sight of the meaning of your life. Cooking is a great passion that you have but I think with love I can see your inventiveness increase by folds. Just move on and try to find that woman, she should be somewhere.

  • thetilde@xanga

@chow - I hardly reply. But that's pretty passionate. Good luck

@xanga - oh btw I am not xanga so there aren't any legalities to it lol... What can you do about the past is irrelevant to what you can achieve in the future.

My Ideal Menu? What a great idea!  How much time do we have...?

@chow - I think my heart just skipped a beat, haha

  • just_the_average_jane@xanga

Hmm...I think I already have had mine, when Boyfriend and I made our backwards dinner.

@chow is right, the food itself is not really important, it's the people you're with.

pho, bibimbab, french fries, pad thai, japanese curry with rice and a fried egg on top, korean ramen, sushi and sashimi, strawberries, grapes, salad with tuna and sprouts and lots of beans, korean tofu soup, jja jang myun, hot rice and salted seaweed, kimchi, tuna sandwiches, cereal, mint chocolate chip ice cream, gyro wrap, kyochon chicken.

this is what i want on my menu, mostly because i am away at university and i am craving everything that i could easily get back at home.

ideal menu.....hmmmm, really depends on my mood

  • KoalaHero@xanga

It depends on how EXPENSIVE the restaurant is. Sometimes it's better if we don't have a menu. The anticipation alone with make us salivate.

@chow - I agree. Eating a meal alone can't compare to eating with your friends/family/loved ones. Something that tastes good taste much better when your enjoying it with someone else.

  • G1G1626@healthkicker
