  • Another Reason to Eat Curry

I've always been a huge fan of curry. Then I read this article about recent studies showing the ingredient turmeric, which has chemical compound of curcumin, can kill cancer cells.

According to the article, people have long thought this ingredient had healing powers, and now people are testing out its powers by treating oesophageal cancers, arthritis and dementia.

A team at the Cork Cancer Research Center has seen some results by destroying throat cancer cells in their research. In their research the experts have found that the cancer cells began to digest themselves after the curcumin has triggered death in cell signals.

This opens up a possibility that many natural compounds can potentially treat the "bad" cells in the human body, giving more hope to oesophageal cancer patients.

    More curry, anyone?
