Recipe: Corned Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry (Two Ways)
This is a guest post from Pig Pig's Corner.
The wild boar is a huge fan of corned beef. Other than curried pasta, this is another one of his signature dish. He usually cooks this for lunch whenever I'm too lazy to cook or when I decide to skip lunch. I'm not a big fan of corned beef as it reminds me of dog food somehow.
Ingredients:- Half head cabbage - shredded
- 1 can (340g) corned beef
- 1 egg
- Worcestershire sauce
- Soy sauce
- Sugar
- Pepper
Directions:- Heat up a bit of oil in a pan.
- Add cabbage and a dash of salt. Stir fry for a bit.
- Add a bit of water, cook until cabbage softened.
- Mix in corned beef, stir fry until corned beef is heated through.
- Break an egg in, stir to mix and cook OR leave this out and serve with a sunny side up.
- Add seasonings to taste.
How do you cook your corned beef?

This is making me hungry. D: I've never cooked corned beef, so I don't have an answer to that last question. I only visited this entry cuz corned beef is delicious and the title beckoned to me.
I love Corned Beef, but not the canned variety. When I want Corned Beef, I'll buy the Brisket and make it homestyle; then take that and make dishes with it.
The thing I do most often with it is to take Yukon Gold potatoes, butter them and roast them in a cast-iron pan, then throw in a whole bunch of corned beef, and crack an egg over it, steam for about 30 seconds more to over-easy; and then eat the whole thing straight out of the cast-iron pan. Sometimes I'll make hollandaise sauce for it too, or mix some spinach and a marchand du vin sauce.
It looks good, and I love sunny side up, I'd try this.
This looks delish!! But I think I'd use the freshly cooked myself corned beef, none of that canned junk. Less reminiscent of dog food that way... :P
The title says Corned Beef & Cabbage stir fry (two ways)....so what's the second way?
But that looks pretty good!
What is corned beef?
I'll have to try this recipe next time.
i really DON'T like cabbage..... :[
and corned beef reminds me of the sandwiches that ron weasley always gets on train rides to hogwarts. <3
it says "two ways", what's the other way?!
@foggysunnymorning@xanga - Corned beef is a form of brine-cured beef
As for how I cook it, I usually get a corned beef brisket (or two) and cook it in my slow cooker.
