I've made thin mints, peanut butter cups, chocolate covered cherries, and I've tried to make caramels (but it didn't work cuz I burned it). And my mom also makes sausage, rolls, hamburger buns, noodles, and jelly/jam.
You can also make your own marshmallows! I actually haven't tried this, but I hear it comes out pretty good.
In the fruit roll up recipe, it doesn't say how long you're supposed to leave it in the oven. :\

Some comments:
Homemade Mayonnaise is FAR superior to anything store bought. I highly recommend people try it. Its very easy to do.
Home-smoked Bacon is also incredible. I do this a lot; over various kinds of wood. I use the whole Pork Belly primal, and I can slice my bacon thick for certain applications, sometimes a full 1/2" thick even.
Home-made Tofu is good if you don't have access to Artisanal Quality Tofu. The difference in quality between mass-produced and home-made/ Artisanal Tofu is like the difference between Kraft "Mozzarella" and the good Fresh Mozzarella balls in brine you get from Italy.
I have made several of these at home. Many of them get ruled out on account of the animal ingredients for me though.
I made sauerkraut once... never thought i would have made it but it turned out fantastic... it just takes a few days of waiting.
Homemade breads are excellent.
Funny, my grandma was just telling me about making mayonnaise when she saw the bowl of egg yolks that were sitting on my kitchen table. I never knew she knew how to make mayonnaise. I learn something new about her every day. =) I'd like to try to make sour dough...
I would like to try homemade of those listed!
hahahaa hard cider? really? awesome.
A lot of people I know actually give out homemade jellies, peanut butter, peppers, etc. as Christmas gifts.
My family and I are always fighting over the last of them :P

interesting....but i'll still not do it...too lazy
very interesting!
I think I might try a few of these.
fruit roll ups?! YAY
<.< I could save mega bucks making these things. We eat at least 50% of the things listed. And it probably would be healthier, considering the additives they add to things. BRAINSTORM!!!
