Daily Q: Do You Have an Aphrodisiac of Choice?
Maybe it's all in the head, but since the dawn of time, humans have sworn by foods reputed to add heat between the sheets. Shellfish are said to work. Dark chocolate, too. And saffron, if you can afford it.
Do you have an aphrodisiac you use?

Yes, but I'm not telling you!
haha that picture, "oh yeah lettuce turns me on"
I'm probably sticking to dark chocolate. I do also like clams and oysters, but only when I'm hungry. Never felt horny at a restaurant . . . . yet.
WATERMELONNNGGZZ
Apparently, it's Uni.
So last Friday night, going out to celebrate my birthday, I ended up eating (among many other things) about 12 pieces of Uni Nigiri. Yes, 12. I don't know what I was thinking. I love Uni, but that's still a bit much.
On the drive home, I was like... wtf, why is everything moving so fast but I'm only doing 60mph on the freeway? It felt like everyone was doing about 100mph on the freeway, and I was like... this is insane. I get home, discover that I feel like I'm high, plop down, and wonder what the hell is going on. I've never been SO full that I felt high before.
I end up, somehow, looking up Uni online, and what do I find?
Apparently, "Traditionally considered an aphrodisiac, sea urchin roe has been found to contain the cannabinoid anandamide."
Cannabinoids are a group of terpenophenolic compounds present in Cannabis (Cannabis sativa L). The broader definition of cannabinoids refers to a group of substances that are structurally related to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or that bind to cannabinoid receptors.
Yes, apparently you can get high off of eating Uni. In the THC way.
Uni has been regarded in many places throughout history as an Aphrodisiac. I don't know if it made me horny though, it just made me kind of high.
cotton candy.
dark chocolate for me. =)
@ina_sweaterpoorlyknit@xanga - LMAO! Oh hellz yeah, iceberg is so hot.
Hm, I've never really sought out an aphrodisiac. There are times when it would've been useful to have an anaphrodisiac though.
Tequila
food has never made me horny
@laytexduckie@xanga - lmao!
@thinfriendxxo@xanga - good one! haha
As an old saying goes, candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.
@noree_n@xanga - @black_lie@xanga - Lol random aprodisiacs. @ina_sweaterpoorlyknit@xanga - Lol the picture really implies that.
@shunny@xanga - why is it random? It's been proven that watermelon is an aphrodisiac! See here for more information.
If you have to eat something to get in the mood then I say you need to find a mate who doesn't have to wear a paper sack over their head.
@black_lie@xanga - Wow... you're right! I take back what I said... Never knew watermelon was an aphrodisiac. Thanks now I know about the power of watermelon.
@ina_sweaterpoorlyknit@xanga - hahaha. oooh, baby!
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - That's actually why Kellogg invented the (not frosted) cornflake cereal. If you have no life, the book he wrote about sexual desires and how to get rid of them can be found online and is amusing enough to fill an afternoon...
