  • Japanese Chef Creates Obama Sushi Roll

He's already written two best-selling books, been elected president of the United States and won a Nobel Peace Prize. So what could be next for Barack Obama?

An Olympic gold medal? A mission to mars? A commemorative sushi role that looks like his face, where they use chopped shrimp for the skin and fish paste for the teeth and even speckle his hair with black sesame seeds?

Yeah, the sushi one. Let's go with that.

The above creation is just the latest maki masterpiece from Japanese chef Ken Kawasumi, who has contributed to the world sushi tributes to Vincent van Gogh and several cook books teaching readers how to make their raw fish into works of art.

The face pieces appear as part of larger canvas that features seaweed-wrapped renderings of an American flag, smiley faces, hearts and pink and green streetcars for some reason. Who needs Mount Rushmore?
