  • Watermelon, From the Heart

Most of you testified earlier this week that you'd be more than happy to try a square watermelon, but why leave the matter at a cube?

Earlier this year, a Japanese couple discovered how to create a watermelon in the shape of a heart, which they then sold as a Mother's Day specialty. The process wasn't easy and the results weren't cheap. The craft fruits took more than three years to prefect, and with only about 20 in existence, each melon retailed for about 15,750 yen, or $160 stateside.

How much would you pay for a watermelon in the shape of your choosing?
