Oh, how I love throwing random things in with things that I love when cooking! This morning I was in such a good mood that I decided to bake, and when I bake things usually get a little crazy.
, but I lacked the ingredients to make my beloved MB. So, instead, I used what I had and created my own recipe for cinnamon sugar crescent rolls using Pillsbury dough.
So I started off with Pillbury Crescent Rolls, ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar.
First I opened and separated the crescent rolls...
Then I mixed 1/4 cup of cinnamon with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in a bowl
But it was too dark, therefore too cinnamon-y.
So I added 1/4 cup of sugar.
Mixed it up some more...
Perfect.
I took each separate crescent roll and coated them completely (front and back) in the cinno-sugar mixture before rolling them up.
That's how they should look uncooked.
While they're in the over at 375 degrees for 10 minutes to 13 minutes I made a dipping sauce.
For this you'll need 3 egg whites and 1 cup of sugar, beaten with a hand mixer until fluffy.
Rolls and sauce. Yum. Yum. Yum.

looks yummy but.. isn't it a bit too sweet?
Looks amazing!
It actually made me drool a little bit. :d
That looks good! I'm going to try that next time (:
@fried_ryce@xanga - The cinnamon creates a nice balance to the sweetness.
I've made something similar but I use some butter topping on them and brush it on melted and apply the sugar/cinnamon mixture and roll them up! I top with powdered sugar. Yummy! :)
