  • Quick and Versatile Quiche



    This family recipe for quiche is extremely simple to follow and easy to make!

    Ingredients
    • pre-made pie crust
    • 6-7 eggs
    • substitution: 12-14 egg whites
    • 2 cups various grated cheeses
    • substitute lower fat, if you prefer
    • 3/4 c milk
    • lowfat or skim
    • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
    • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • dash of nutmeg
    • 2 cups frozen spinach (microwaved & drained slightly)
    • substitution: 2 cups cooked broccoli, green beans, collard greens, etc.
    • 1/8-1/4 cup cooked finely diced ham
    • substitution: cooked bacon, sausage, Canadian bacon, ground beef, etc.
    • 1/2 tsp. paprika (to sprinkle on top)
    1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
    2. Place all eggs in a medium-sized bowl and fluff with a fork.
    3. Add ingredients 3 through 11 and mix thoroughly.
    4. Pour into a pie dish in which you've already spread out the pre-made pie crust.
    5. Sprinkle some paprika on top.
    6. Place in oven and cook 45-50 minutes until center is done.
    Cool a bit and enjoy. Great served hot or cold!

    Calorie content w/o crust: 165
