I used to buy Totino's pizzas all the time. They are quite delicious and and are crazy cheap. At Kroger, Scott's Owen's and Pay Less (not to be confused with Payless) they are 10 for $10 or $1 each for you math-challeged folk. That's what it always was. Every time I'd pass by them, it was 10 for $10. It was like they were on sale ALL the time. It was awesome.
Well, one day as I'm going through my shopping list, marking things off, I come to the freezer window where the pizzas are. OH-EM-JEE!!! What's this? 4 for $5!? That's an extra 25 cents!!! I was more pissed at this than the Banquet incident. These were like the best things ever. I wasn't the only one pissed, that's for sure. My buddies, Austin, Kelli, and I think Tony too were just as outraged. As of now, the pizzas are still $1.25. Thanks a lot General Mills.
With all that said, I may as well ask you a question. What did you eat during your college days, or if you're still there like me, what do you eat? Any favorites?

....it's a quarter.
I eat ramen noodles like a champ. I just don't use the seasoning packet, because it's full of salt. And eggs are actually a really awesome source of protein for pretty cheap. I, too, was outraged at the stunt General Mills pulled there. But I just make my own little pizzas now with tortillas and grape tomatoes and mozzerella with basil. Relatively cheap and sooo goood.
are you.... kidding me?
Nomnomnom, now I want pizza :]
They must be really bad for you. I had this $0.50 frozen pizza that had over 1000 grams of sodium and 50g of fat.
There's actually a LOT more to this post that was edited out. You can read the whole thing at http://ninjaxbroadcast.xanga.com/671156249/how-dare-you-take-my-fries-away-from-me/ if you'd like.
@live_for_love@xanga - Yes. But when I buy 4, that's a dollar that I could have used toward candy (I like candy) or another pizza before the price change.
@Wait_by_Moonlight@xanga - Your pizza sounds kinda delish. Care to share a recipe? ^_^
@Meowmeowkimmaee@xanga - yikes. Yea, they're probably not the best thing. lol But they are delicious!
Its just a quarter.. I think you'll survive
Yeah I noticed they went up in price at Walmart recently too...they used to be 88 cents and now they're 99. Stupid economy.
@NinjaxBroadcast@xanga - If you use whole wheat pita bread for homemade pizza it's a little more sturdy than a regular tortilla. :]
I eat a lot of cheez-its and oreos lol.
i'm so hungry :(
There's inflation for ya. Broken economy? Obama can fix it by throwing money at it!
They're quite disgustingly bad for you. But yes, I can understand your frustration when you're on a budget.
@oftwominds@xanga - or English muffins!
OH MAN, DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON BANQUET MEALS</3.
I thought the pizza's went up a long time ago.. i remember getting lots of them but i grew sick of it after a while.
Yep I feel the same way about the pizza, still about $1.25 or more
Mhmm pizzas are awesome! But they're fattening as well.. :(
@tenwishes@xanga - indeed. I'm not that healthy of a eater. I've cut pop from about 80% down to 5% of what I drink now. Somehow I've managed to stay in decent shape. I should probably eat a little wiser tho before my metabolism slows down.
oh man i love that pizza!! best frozen pizza ever. dangg why did they have to go up in priceeee.
ps i once broke a piece of my tooth eating from a banquet dinner box and it was fried chicken btw.
I used to love those pizzas. I was also a big spaghettio fan, and of course, you couldn't go wrong with Ramen noodles.
Ramen < $.30 per pack. Oooh yeaaah...
for the ones saying its only a quarter...a quarter adds up. at the same time though these pizzas are still cheap so yay for that.
eww, trans fat pizza :(
hehehehe. i wonder if im the only one who thought this was an incredibly funny joke :). JENO'S CRISP AND TASTY PIZZA'S ARE STILL A DOLLAR! YAAAY
