Do You Eat What You Cook?
I have a tendency to eat less when I cook the food, perhaps because I know my cooking skills are inadequate.
Do you eat less when you cook or rather do you eat more when someone else cooks?

I eat what I cook. I only cook really good vegetarian food according to my preferences, and as long I don't mess it up (in which case, I throw it away), I eat it. Since it's always exactly the kind of food I like, I eat more of my own than when someone else cooks 'cause they almost always make some sort of meat dish. Or, I'll end up with a diminutive salad and a piece of bread when I eat someone else's food because they aren't creative enough to make anything else. (Seriously, I've noticed that most people who cook and eat meat with every meal are completely clueless on how to cook any substantial vegetarian dishes. In fact, it's like an alien concept to them.)
I hardly ever eat what I bake. Okay, maybe one cupcake, but that's it. The rest I give away to my family.
I probably shouldn't
I eat but not as much as I normally would because while I'm cooking I feel fuller faster. I guess it's psychologically proven that cooks actual tend to eat less of their own recipes. weird...
better believe it! the whole reason i learned to cook in the first place was because i had to live on my own (and was trying to lose weight at the same time). Man can't live on maru-chan ramen and kraft macaroni 'n cheez alone, you know. Since then, I've come to really enjoy experimenting with cooking, and then eating the results :)
i hardly ever eat when i cook because usually i cook for others not myself
Whenever I cook it's for a family meal, so I eat it. But standing over a hot stove for a while makes me a little less hungry.
I try to eat what I cook. It's usually not very good though.
I love my cooking! XD
I tend to eat less when I cook as I usually dont cook much food for myself. If I'm over at a relative's place or something then I would eat more since their cooking is much better than mine :(
I definitely eat what I cook!! I adore the experimentation, the scents, the whole shebang!! Yum!
I eat what I cook because Im awesome.
There's a sense of content every time I cook, because I placed every effort and heart into cooking it. Nothing is more satisfying than the feeling you get after cooking it, but the best part is after all that hard work that you did, you get to sit down and enjoy your creation.
Now...what's the point of cooking if you don't eat what you cook?
Of course I eat what I cook. The thing is that I know how much I'll be eating, so I don't cook that much if it's just for myself. Now on the other hand, I don't like to see food go to waste when someone else cooks for me, so I'll eat more thinking that I have to!
It doesn't matter who cooks. I eat like a horse.
i almost never eat my own cooking, but if somone else it making it, NOMNOMNOM
I eat more when I cook. I'm a good cook but mostly because I A. learned from my mom (moms are the best cooks ever) and B. I cook simple foods so it's kind of hard to mess up.Â
I was JUST telling someone that half an hour ago.. Its like I get nervous b/c If I don't like it, what are the chances the other person will. Then the entire orgasmic aroma is gone, its not enticing because I've been around the smell for so long =( Its more exciting for the person salivating and waiting for the food rather than going through the process of making it and feeling mentally exhausted from cooking.
@Meowmeowkimmaee@xanga - Same with me
I eat what I cook BUT I don't cook what I don't like to eat.
When I'm cooking I tend to pick at the food to test taste it; so when it comes down to actually sitting and eating the food I eat a lot less.
hrm now to think about it, i think i eat less when i make the food, and eat more when others are :X dunno why ?
I sure do eat what I cook! Nom nom nom. But I haven't cooked in the longest time. =/
I always eat what I cook, I tend to eat less of other's cooking :(
