My husband is a picky eater when it comes to salads and the kind of dressing I put on them. I can get him to try a vinaigrette from time to time, but his favorite dressing has always been Italian. His favorite version of Italian dressing is the one I started whipping up on the fly one night when we ran out of dressing from the store. It doesn't have the somewhat bitter aftertaste that some store bought dressings have, and you can always add or remove ingredients to taste.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 tbsp water
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp coarsely ground pepper
1 tsp dried parsley
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/2 cup olive oil (canola oil works just as well)
Combine all ingredients except for the oil in desired container (I save glass bottles from juices and such, and usually use one of those). Shake container to mix ingredients until sugar and salt have dissolved. Add oil and shake well to mix. Pour over salad and store remainder in the refrigerator.
This makes 1 cup of dressing, so if you want to make it to last a few days instead of just a night, just double everything and you're ready to go.

Ooooh this recipe actually has everything I have on hand! I'm so going to try this!
o0o, sounds simple enough.
one time at work we attempted to make greek dressing from italian dressingg. it was horrible
Great recipe, although I would never use canola oil instead of olive oil. But, I guess, if you like canola it can work too.
@Alessia@healthkicker - I prefer olive oil when I have it on hand, but it's considered a bit of a luxery with my husband and I because of how expensive it can be. That's how we found that canola doesn't really change the taste.
Italian is my favorite...I'll definitely have to try this out. :)
sounds yummy, I had my fun and minor tragedy with honey mustard dressing-which is also easy fast- but tragic when I put it in a magic bullet to find it wasn't ready for liquids.....oooops
@babykittytara@xanga - Nice to know that it doesn't change the taste, thanks!
This is an exceptionally good Italian dressing. We used Apple Cider vinegar and Olive Oil and it was great. Thanks for the recipe, you could bottle and sell this stuff!!

People usually prefer handbags outlet, especially when they visit some ralph lauren polos. In some areas, people like to wholesale clothing. They will find some store doing very cheap or discounted cheap handbags. Certainly, designer handbags is a good way to earn money.
