Buy Your Frozen Water Here! Hey, Wait a Second...
A new product is out: Fria Frozen Water. It's the perfect thing for those steamy summer days: a bottle of frozen water that melts slowly through the day so you can enjoy cold water any time.
Wait a second. Frozen water. Isn't that....ice?
Well, yes.
Jon Wilt from Arizona came up with the plan as he was driving around in the desert one day.
Fria comes in 1-liter, 2-liter, and 3-liter sizes and sells for $1.89, $2.39 and $2.89, respectively.
One nifty feature? It comes with a handle, so you can tote your ice...ahem....frozen water around with one finger.
Would you shell out for Fria, or would you rather just pop a Dasani in the freezer?

Why would I spend $2 for something that I could do myself? o.0
I've been freezing my own water for years, but people will buy anything. I'm sure there's someone out there who thinks that "frozen water" is a great new invention.
... so lame. lol.
Hey, that was my idea first!
It'll do in a pinch, that's why its a good idea, I live in Vegas and nobody, NOBODY has come up with that in a convenience store.
Lol, it's such a lame invention at such a costy price. Anyone can do that in their own fridge.
Dasani in the freezer anyday. Poor Jon Wilt. All that Arizona heat went to his head.
It's actually not much more expensive than a regular 20 oz of water, if you think about it. But I would prefer to save the bottle and refreeze it myself... I'm cheap like that.
Dude, I dont even use bottled water. I take it from the tap and I have one of those sports water bottles that you can consistently reuse. It works rather nicely
i don't understand the point of it. what makes it special?! does it stay frozen and melt slower than a normal frozen bottle of water? whats so special about it....is it really just frozen water? LAME. I can do it myself!
I think this is a great marketing gimmick. You can't just throw unopen bottles of water into the fridge because water expands when it's frozen. (Not that it's very hard to open the bottle and take a sip first.)
OKAY?
bring own water container, fill it up with water, freeze it. pack in backpack. i'm good thanks ^^
You can just buy a snapple one day like me and if you want frozen water tomorrow, rinse it out a little and then fill it with water and maybe an ice cube or 2 and pop it in the freezer...
It's... not that hard!
I don't like my water completely frozen, so automatic ice machines are wonderful.
Fill bottle with ice, fill remaining space with water, enjoy icy water for several hours.
LMAOOOO
it's like...
Smart Water all over again. 8D
lol they make it all fancy when its just frozen water
This reminds me of when they used to have ice farms. They'd cut out blocks from a frozen lake and ship it everywhere to cool people's food. It was a booming business, making millions, but they under once refrigeration was invented.
It's like they're trying to reinvent that, except now it's completely unnecessary except in a pinch when, for some reason, you need frozen water and have no access to a freezer.
Wow, that is ridiculous!
Funny thing is I'm pretty sure there are suckers who'll buy that.
...but I'd buy it if I'm desperate for ice. /:
i'll get my boyfriend to make me some ice :D
Uh...wow. Pop a Dasani or Aquafina in the freezer.
This is useless.
After being influenced by this, I think I'm going to start selling my own bags of air now.
I'll freeze my water myself thanks. It's not a new idea. People have been doing that for a long time, expecially here with the hot Texas summers.
While it would make sense to just do it in your own fridge, it'd be nice to have that available in a gas station (although any brand would do--except aquafina...yuck).
