珍珠奶茶 (zhēnzhū nǎichá) probably is my favourite drink. There's only one place in Paris to buy it. So what is bubble tea? Asian people are familiar with this drink. It's a tea beverage containing tapioca balls (pearls) which comes from Taiwan. You can choose the cold one or the hot one, with or without (soy) milk... There are a lot of tastes, like passion fruit, lemon, sesame etc...You'll need large straws to drink the beverage and the bubbles. It's SO fantastic! I'll need to find those places in China (if you have any suggestions, thank you!). But some friends told me that the taste there is quite different from here, because there's less sugar inside.

Tehe. I work in a teahouse in Philly and I make all kinds of bubble tea . . . .well, except for the very fruity ones.
@Whispers_of_Wind@xanga - Boba, bubble tea, pearls, tapioca . . . . so many people call it different things. I had someone call them "little brown balls" before.
I LOVE BUBBLE TEA. AND I LOVE TAIWAN! Aw man, I wanna go back. It must suck to only have one place to buy it in Paris. Luckily, I live in NY. Yay~
I LOVE BUBBLE TEA! man only 1 place, thats horrible!
it used to be like that here, but in the last few years it seem to have multiplied. lol
@laurasaidwhat@xanga - haha sometimes they don't even put tea in it... there's a place by my campus that makes fruit smoothies with bubbles instead
@laytexduckie@xanga - for the longest time my roommate thought they were frog spawn
bubble tea is great but the pearls doesnt taste good depending on which store u go to. it's sad that 1 out of every 5 stores i go to the pearls are hard. i like the pearls to be soft which means fresh.
