  • Ice Cream in Sizzling Ramen

This is in relation with the previous post on Grossest Combination of Food. I've never tried ice cream in ramen before, I mean I think it might possibly taste good, but when I first read about it I didn't think instantly, "Yummy!". It was more like, "That's very strange." AND I'm Asian (because you would think I would be used to weird foods by now). The ice cream ramen is served in a local ramen shop, Kikuya, in Tokyo, but if you know how to make ramen...then you can just add the ice cream and the cone yourself and voila! Marvelous indigestion!

I think I'd try it if I was eating ramen with vanilla ice cream, but the other flavors like with coffee, since I'm not a coffee fan, and with green tea...I'd probably vomit. The information was found from this site here, and they named other odd combos that Kikuya serves: white ramen (yogurt), red ramen (tomato), natto ramen (fermented soy bean), milk ramen, hot cocoa ramen (you know...for those extra cold wintery days), and pork kimchi ramen.

The only strange thing that I may have eaten in combo with ice cream are french fries! Now that's pretty delicious.

Would you eat ramen with ice cream?
