Okay so edible clothing isn't really the new black, but it's pretty fascinating.
Just imagine yourself walking down the street and realizing that you're kind of hungry; instead of spending money in a random shop, you can just pick it off from your own clothing!
Actually, some designers have used food to construct their clothing line. For example, Jean-Paul Gaultier made his clothing line out of bread.
This dress is baked and made from flour, flowers, and water. I don't think it would taste that great, but it's definitely edible! For more on Beatrice Oettinger's baked goods, go here.
I think it's pretty creative that these people are using different forms, like food, to create clothing. What do you think? Creative? Or are these people just taking it too far?
It's not THAT creative. Edible clothing has been around for a loooong time. Adam and Eve used fig leaves, remember?
haha. looks delicious?
also. I hate how the PETA constantly uses naked/half naked women to sell their ideas. Save the animals... but completely disrespect the woman?
probably be kinda cool/fun to wear once but not anymore once it gets all moldy... o_O That being said, I think I'd probably stick to traditional cotton/synethetic fiber clothing: more cost-efficient & longer lasting.
um...that's really taking it to a whole other level...
semi good.. but you're wearing it out and birds attack you (bread) and the homeless would tackle you down for your clothing. Then they eat it all up and you're left naked O-o
Yeah, it's nice to look at, I guess. I'd much rather eat the food than waste it on this, though.
It's very creative and most definitely not meant as mass haute couture. As long as we aren't relegating edible clothing to fruit roll-up goodness alone, I'm all for it.
LAME, especially the PETA one!
Ew..imagine if you fell asleep outside and when you woke up you were covered in ants... Or even worse - wearing all of that bread and crows came after you... *shudders* No thanks!
What a waste of food. =P
It's creative, but ehh ... not very delicious. Ahah, I don't think I would wear it! Food goes into one's mouth, not on one's body (without being eaten).
um..let me think..... what if i am terribly hungry and suddenlly see someone wearing that..... i wonder...
I think it's really creative! I wish I had the patience to make something like this. Well, not the lettuce stuff. That looks a bit gross.
THAT'S SICKKKKK
eat off of me!
I don't think that's very hygenic.
lol edible clothing - never seen that kind before i know there's like candy g-strings and bra - same sortda concept
It's a novelty idea, and hey, edible underwear are good for foreplay too. Haha.
its silly. you could only wear it once before it gets moldy, and you can't just stick a loaf of bread in the washing machine. plus if you started devouring your clothes what would you wear when your "spagetti" straps are gone?
