  • Edible Clothing is the New Black

Okay so edible clothing isn't really the new black, but it's pretty fascinating.

Just imagine yourself walking down the street and realizing that you're kind of hungry; instead of spending money in a random shop, you can just pick it off from your own clothing!

Actually, some designers have used food to construct their clothing line. For example, Jean-Paul Gaultier made his clothing line out of bread.

I don't think it's actually wearable, but it's pleasing to look at. You can also find a very short article about his bread clothing line here.

Another interesting edible "clothing" line - but I'm sure you wouldn't want to eat it...especially after it being worn - is Lettuce Lingerie!

I think the picture speaks for itself.

This dress is baked and made from flour, flowers, and water. I don't think it would taste that great, but it's definitely edible! For more on Beatrice Oettinger's baked goods, go here.

I think it's pretty creative that these people are using different forms, like food, to create clothing. What do you think? Creative? Or are these people just taking it too far?
