Some of My Favorite Japanese Appetizers
Japanese tapas or appetizer style dishes are generally good for having a good time out with your friends when you're not too hungry or just want to dabble in different dishes here and there.
When my friends and I head out for Japanese appetizers, we have our usuals. Sometimes we switch it up, but on this particular night these were our dishes.
Gyoza
Beef tongue
Dried stingray fin
Grilled teriyaki squid
Potato
Sausages
Yakitori
And of course... the boys have to have their beer and sake!
Do you ever go out for appetizers or tapas? What are your usual dishes?

I haven't gone out for appetizers and drinks in forever. I miss those days. The Gyoza and yakitori look yummy.

oh wow these looks delish.. i used to eat loads of gyozas but now, i take chuka hotate(seasoned scallops i think?), potato/pumpkin croquette, grilled eel with teriyaki sauce, salmon head in miso soup etc. gosh, i heart japanese food..

Beef tongue is so yummy! The teriyaki squid looks delicious too! ;D* Never tried sting ray fin. It looks good.
My fave. appetizers include wakame (seaweed) salad, edemame, and I can't think of anything else at the moment. Oh! I like squid as well.

i dont go out specifically for appetizers, but when I go to a sushi restaurant near my house, they serve edemame for free. I love yakitori also. =) And as for like... other restaurants, i dont really get appetizers mostly because theres always a lot of food.
